Raspberry Thriller in 2025

Raspberry Thriller in 2025

Hello everyone, and happy new year! We are already a month into 2025 and it seems (at least to me) that January is never ending! In case you are reading my blog for the first time, then hello – my name is Katherine and I’ve been running this personal blog since 2016. It started out as a baking blog, for documenting the recipes I tried and tested. Then it became more of a lifestyle blog, with a focus on sustainability. You can find my specific sustainability content here Sustainability 101. And, if you’re looking for recipes, this pageĀ Best of Baking is a good place to start! At the start of each new year, I do a post on goals or intentions. Here is a link to my post from last January Goals for 2024.

I’ve been stalling a bit this month as I hadn’t figured out what my goals ought to be. Life looks very different for me now, as we had big changes last year. I feel a bit like I’m still trying to learn how to ride a bike with no stabilisers, and I’m wobbling through each day. But, I believe it is important to start each year with a plan and intentions, so here are my 6 goals for 2025!

Good Vibes

I’ve been thinking about what I want most this year, and came to the conclusion that I want to strive for fun and relaxation. I’m excited for the camping trips we have booked – I think 2025 will the the year of mini holidays!me at Bournemouth

Reading

I can say with certainty that I am loving reading and making videos on YouTube. You can visit my channel here (Raspberry Reads). A goal is to keep reading and keep making BookTube content, since I’m enjoying it so much. I have set a goal to read 30 books, which I’m sure I’ll meet as last year I read over 60! Ideally, I’d like to post a video weekly.

Wellbeing

Like many people, I need to focus on my health this year. I’d like to go swimming a few times and I’m definitely going to prioritise sleep. I recently went for a massage and was told essentially “what the hell has happened to your shoulder?!” I guess you could say I’ve been carrying a lot of tension, so I’d like to make a massage a more regular wellbeing activity.

Connection

I just finished reading a book called The Book You Want Everyone You Love To Read by Philippa Perry, which was all about relationships. An important aspect of my life right now is nurturing relationships and building connection, whether that is with family or friends or new people.

Confidence

Last year, I had a goal of driving 50 times. I lost track but I’m sure I got close to that number. This year, I’d like to build my confidence driving by going on some of the busier roads near us and even a motorway!

Growing

A very specific goal, but I am determined to grow carrots this year! I’d like to make good use of our raised bed and not have it be taken over by courgette, which I don’t particularly enjoy eating anyways. My intention is to make gardening a fun, family activity this summer.
